What young Hollywood wants for Xmas: The 6-door Prius limo

click above image for more pics of the Prius limo
Most people looking to modify their Prius do so in order to extract even more fuel economy from the world's most popular hybrid. There undoubtedly aren't a whole lot of mechanically inclined Prius owners thinking limo, but thankfully for us there is one Canadian who did. The custom 10-seater was hacked at the middle, re-formed and re-stuffed, and welded back together. Sure, it seems as though adding considerable weight to a car specifically design with fuel economy in mind seems like a fruitless endeavor, but the man claims to still be getting 50 MPG. We'll believe the economy numbers when we see it. Meanwhile, it's only a matter of time before the designers at Citroen find out their C6 beauty has been duped.

is it a turtle or a load.. can tell.

Yikes must that thing be a dog to drive. Regardless, this guy probably could make a mint customizing 'em for Hollywood's environmentally inclined. Perfect for chiding the proletariat's wasteful habits while being driven to your Gulfstream at LAX!

Additional proof of "limousine liberals" in Hollyweird. It's appropriate, though, because, like Hollyweird: it is fake, its occupants are smug and their lemming-like behavior is typical amongst Toy-owners and movie stars.

I'm guessing the point is if you need to use a limo, and that seems to be a neccesity in those circles on certain occasions, why not go in the least environmentally abusive vehicle possible?
Or they could just roll up the Oscars/Emmys/high school banquet in one of these: http://www.autoblog.com/2007/06/19/hummer-crazy-couple-to-marry-in-monster-suv-themed-wedding/

A stretched Toy Priapiss accomplishes nothing but visual pollution and would likely get no better gas mileage than other purpose-built limos (unless Toy faked their MPGs again). I'm not so sure that, structurally, the Toy could withstand the gain in weight, whereas the Hummer would.
