eBay Find of the Day: Alice Cooper's Supercharged Mustang GT

Alice Cooper is a serious car guy, and as you might expect, his garage has seen its share of cool toys pass through. Those who watched this past January's Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale may remember Cooper's sublime '39 Lincoln Zephyr, which changed hands for $248,000. Well, Matt over at MustangBlog shot us a note letting us know that another one of Alice's machines is on the block, this time over at the virtual auction house for everyman: eBay.
The car in question is a black 2005 Mustang GT pushing out over 500 horsepower (535, according to a graphic on the car itself) with a little help from things like a Paxton blower and intercooler and Billy Boat exhaust. An automatic transmission tackles the duty of wrangling those ponies to the rear wheels. It looks good too, sporting a Shaker hood (very sweet), red racing stripe, and red line tires that look right at home on the neo-retro Mustang.
"No More Mr. Nice Guy," the title of one of the well-known songs off the rocker's Billion Dollar Babies album, is emblazoned on the quarter panels under the "GT" badging. Those who don't heed the subtle warning may find themselves getting dusted should they decide to get frisky with the car at a stoplight. If you're interested, head on over to eBay and check it out. Bidding starts at $30,000 and yes, there is a reserve to meet.

Nice Car - Lousy Owner.
Alice Cooper (real name Vincent Damon Furnier) was born in 1948.That would make him 18 in 1966 - How come there is nothing about Alice Cooper's tour in Vietnam?
A few years ago, he labeled all Anti Bush, Anti Iraq War spokesmen and demonstrators ''Guilty of Treason''.Funny.. take a look at Alice Cooper in 1973....Here is an interview with him posted on YOU TUBE.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrPN6dkM7fw&mode=related&search=
This guy is an outright fraud, but even worse, a CHICKEN-HAWK.I have no respect for anyone who promotes war but when they had a calling from the USA to serve in the time of war, somehow avoided it.
How many Veterans of the Iraq War are now back home missing limbs, eyesight, mental awareness from the Iraq War that WILL NEVER HAVE A CHANCE TO DRIVE A CAR LIKE THIS OR ANY OTHER CAR?????
What's next AUTO BLOG... Rush Limbaugh cars for sale? Please.

It's a sweet car and you can do nothing but bad mouth Alice Cooper...What's the beef, did he do your mom in the 70's...???

so now if you are a supporter of the current U.S. effort, you are a lousy car owner? I met alice cooper , and can tell you that he is a "nice guy". there are plenty of people that are liberal while young and when they start to get older and wiser they turn consevative. that does not make them lousy. it just means that they have seen the errors of their ways.

To John, #5...
No John, you miss the point I make.
While this guy was boozing it up, my neighbors were getting killed in Vietnam.
About 30 guys from my town didn't return from 'nam.. Also there were a few families who never knew what happened to their sons for the only thing they had in their windows were POW-MIA flags..for years after the war ended.
There were also many who returned from Vietnam that had more emotional distress from what they dealt with over there than I was old enough to comprehend at the time. One guy was always walking around town but wouldn't step on a crack in the pavement.. rumor was it was because of land mines in 'nam.
With all that going on, what was this Drunk Burn Out Fraud Alice Cooper doing? He was LIVING care free in 1973, the time of that Video at the age of 25... not a care in the world.. because 'the other people fought that war'.. not him.
And now this is an EBAY find of the day? - Please.. this is a CHICKENHAWK WING find of the day.
If Alice Cooper did go to Vietnam.. he might have had a different outlook to Iraq... a different outlook at those who spoke out against it (Including Bush Sr's entire Staff)... but even more importantly.. he might not even BE HERE.
Alice Cooper Saved His Butt so others could get theirs blown off.

The red race stripe hurts the appearance. Why have a car built for you if you're just going to sell it in a year? Oh, wait...out-of-work rockers need money.

Nice car but I wonder why being against American invasions has any thing to do with it.
I would have sooner seen a manual in it. 535 HP would certainly get you to the nearest coffee bar before the coffee get's cold. Automatics and cup holders take the fun out of driving.

I think it's an amazing example of how you can modify a car and keep it (slightly) subtle.
And Greg, you sound like a lunatic. Your post has nothing to do with that car. Maybe you should have gone to Vietnam and come home without legs. Or better yet without arms so you couldn't type stupid comments on this blog.

Greg I believe you can dig up dirt on anybody. Send him all the hatemail you want but when you do ask him if he is used the stock auto transmission in this GT. I couldn't really find no info on it.

I've always found it most convenient to call someone names and challenge their manliness via the 'net whilst sitting here, anonymously, in front of my computer screen.
BTW, Coop...nice car.

Hey, if he really ...labeled all Anti Bush, Anti Iraq War spokesmen and demonstrators ''Guilty of Treason''... AND MEANT IT, NOT JOKING ...then I would go for strapping him to a chair in the sun, covered with honey, as fire ants swarm him, and we improve his car with bazookas. That would not be "getting more conservative with years", but just plain being a Nazi asshole of a phony, self centered patriot (Like GWB, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rove, so on)___ BTW "CHICKENHAWK" is slang for men like former Rep Foley, the Republican.
Meanwhile, nice car -- and rich guys build cars to drive awhile before building another, not unusual.

Where were YOU Greg?
Some of us the Army wouldn't take when we tried to sign up. So we went to college then spent 25 years working for DOD. Our military has killed a lot of bad guys with the equipment non-vets and I helped design. How about you?
Oh yes, mean 'stang.
