Chris caught this DLS Audio-modified Mk III Volkswagen Golf at CES, which sports tin, aluminum and pewter metalwork done by Thai craftspeople -- an effort that took 5 months alone. The bird pattern seen throughout is of a "traditional Thai ancient bird," Chris tells us. The rep wasn't sure on the manufacturer of the wheels, but we do know that they're wrapped in Dunlop SP Sport tires and that the stopping power comes from Brembo brakes.
Inside Chris found a hand-stitched leather dash, seats, and trim in black with white stitching, as well as a full array of DLS car audio pieces, including two 15" TFT LCD displays mounted in the floor where the mats should be.
The vehicle has already won a number of awards, including first place in the International Sound Quality Competition's Pro Unlimited Class in 2005.
