- For the month of November, Nissan checks in at the 10-spot in sales with its Altima midsize sedan. Engine options range from a base 175-horsepower 2.5L four-cylinder engine mated to a high-tech CVT automatic transmission or a standard six-speed manual transmission. An optional 3.5L V6 offers up a stout 270 horsepower, which is enough grunt to embarrass some sports cars. The Altima was last redesigned in 2007 and is available as both a coupe and sedan. - 9: Honda CR-V - 12,153 sold
- Honda's first vehicle to show up on our top ten best-sellers list isn't a car at all, but it is the best-selling SUV in the U.S. The Honda CR-V boasts plenty of utility in a small package, with seating for five and a large cargo hold out back. - 7: Dodge Ram - 15,538 sold
- Dodge shocked the pickup truck world way back in 1994 when it introduced the first major redesign of its Ram truck in a few decades. That model popularized the current "big rig" look that has remained popular ever since. The latest Ram for 2009 keeps the aggressive look of its forebears while adding a great deal more comfort, convenience and capability due to its coil-over rear suspension (the first such system in a full-sized truck) and powerful 5.7L HEMI V8 with 380 HP and 404 ft.-lb. of torque. - The Accord is definitely a huge seller for the Honda, but the Honda Civic manages to sneak past its big brother by just a few hundred units to snag the fifth spot. The Civic offers a sporty alternative to the standard compact car, and its futuristic styling inside and out has plenty of admirers. - Toyota claims the number three spot with its super-popular Camry midsize sedan. This is the best-selling car in America, with a couple of pickup trucks being the only thing standing in its way of total sales domination. We've put the Camry through its paces a few times and can understand why its attractive as a ridiculously reliable way to get from point A to point B. The Blue Oval has no plans to let the title of Best Selling Vehicle in the United States slip away after 23 straight years of holding the crown.
