Most Successful Super Bowl Ads From Automakers
Super Bowl XLIX has come and gone, and while the New England Patriots celebrate their victory over the Seattle Seahawks, we're left pondering which commercials proved the most successful for their various brands.One way to judge the success or failure of a commercial for an automaker, like General Motors, Ford or Toyota, is to figure out which makes and models received the biggest uptick in web traffic following the event. Kelley Blue Book has rather helpfully provided this exact information for us, and we've put together a list of the 10 Most Successful Super Bowl Commericals From Automakers in 2015. 10. Lexus NX
Sticker Price: $34,480Invoice Price: $32,240
Fuel Economy: 22 mpg city, 28 mpg highway
Lexus went mild with its ad for the new 2015 NX crossover, choosing to focus on numbers and figures instead of making an exciting or humorous statement.
Perhaps this less-enthusiastic effort is one reason why web traffic for the Lexus NX only increased 48 percent following the brand's Super Bowl commercial, which you can watch here.

9. Dodge Challenger

Fuel Economy: 19 mpg city, 30 mpg highway
Dodge got some extra mileage out of an ad that it didn't even create specifically for the Super Bowl. According to KBB, there was a 106-percent spike in web traffic for the Dodge Challenger after the automaker chose to run a commercial that first ran in April of 2014.

8. Fiat 500X
Sticker Price: $20,000Fiat has made a habit of making humorous commercials to advertise its wares in the United States, and this year's Super Bowl commercial is no different. We thought it was pretty funny, but it wasn't as successful in driving web traffic as many of its peers. With a 113-percent improvement, it came in as the eighth most successful commercial from an automaker during the 2015 Super Bowl.

7. Kia Sorento

Fuel Economy: 20 mpg city, 27 mpg highway
With a 225-percent spike in web traffic, the commercial for the new Kia Sorento came in at seventh position, according to KBB.
With the star power of ex-James Bond Pierce Brosnan, along with a humorous story line, we have to wonder if Kia were hoping for a little more juice from this ad. Click here to see it for yourself.

6. Nissan Maxima
In at sixth place in our list is the Nissan Maxima. Although the car wasn't the main focal point of the automaker's commercial, its airing was the first time that Nissan showed its next sports sedan in public. That being the case, its 229-percent improvement in web traffic is understandable.Click here to watch Nissan's Super Bowl commercial, which puts its main focus on a father who loves racing.

5. Chevy Colorado

Fuel Economy: 19 mpg city, 26 mpg highway
The fifth most successful Super Bowl commercial by an automaker in 2015 featured the Chevy Colorado, a new midsize pickup truck that offers much of the capability of its larger siblings in a slightly more maneuverable package with a slightly smaller pricetag.
Click here to watch the commercial for the Chevy Colorado that had many people adjusting their TV sets. We'd bet that having MVP Tom Brady receive one of these trucks on television didn't hurt, either.

4. Jeep Renegade
Sticker Price: $17,995We've quickly become fond of the new Jeep Renegade. It's ruggedly cute, available with all the off-road goodies we've come to expect from Jeep, and it's priced low enough that it's attainable for most families in the US.

3. Mercedes-AMG GT
Sticker Price: $129,900Is it any surprise that the stunning new supercar from Mercedes-Benz drew plenty of attention after seeing big publicity from its Super Bowl commercial. No, not at all. Its bump measured in at a 950-percent web traffic increase, says KBB.

2. BMW i3

Coming in second place with a 1,131-percent bump in traffic from KBB is the BMW i3. As an electric car that is completely different from anything else the German automaker offers, we're not surprised that people are searching for more information.

1. Lexus RC 350

The biggest winner of 2015, at least when it comes to Super Bowl ads, was Lexus. According to KBB, web traffic for the sporty RC coupe shot up an impressive 1,820 percent!
