According to crime data, luxury cars are not the most common type of stolen vehicle. Not even close, really. Since there are so many more of them on the road, vehicles like the Ford F-150, Honda Civic and Toyota Camry are far more likely to get lifted than a Mercedes or BMW.
Although the odds are better that a luxury car will remain in your hands, an average of about four higher-end vehicles are stolen every day.
The National Insurance Crime Bureau recently released data on the most stolen luxury cars between 2009 and 2012. Click through to see which of these more expensive vehicles thieves love to target.
