What's a mean car, anyway? According to greenercars.org, a part of the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy, it's a score derived from an automobile's EPA-estimated fuel mileage combined with its emissions certification rating.
The ACEEE offers a slew of tips on choosing a greener vehicle, and the organization administers a Greenest Cars list, too.
