Meanest Cars of 2018
What's a mean car, anyway? According to greenercars.org, a part of the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy, it's a score derived from an automobile's EPA-estimated fuel mileage combined with its emissions certification rating.
The ACEEE offers a slew of tips on choosing a greener vehicle, and the organization administers a Greenest Cars list, too.

There are three different versions of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class on the Meanest Cars of 2018 list. The worst offender is the G550 4x4, a lifted and beefed-up version of the German brand's long-running off-roader. The standard G550 gets 13 city and 14 highway.
AMG-bolstered versions of the G-Class also show up on this list. The 2018 AMG G63 has a green score of 25, and the G65 has a green score of 22. Add it all up and the G-Class easily takes the crown as the Meanest Car of 2018.
