We get a closer look at the Maserati Grecale.

Transcript

- Hi, folks. We're here in Italy with the 2023 Maserati Grecale. This is the newest addition to the Maserati lineup. It's positioned below the Levante and aimed directly at the Porsche Macan. This is the Trofeo version of the Grecale, which is the range-topping trim level. It has an evolution of the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 found in the MC20.

There are some differences between the two engines. And it also gets a sportier looking exterior design. You can see that the vents on the front bumper are a bit bigger. It's got specific wheels with massive brake calipers, cool Trofeo emblems. If we walk around to the back, we've got a spoiler on top of the hatch and a carbon fiber rear diffuser with four exhaust outlets.

If we step inside, you have this gorgeous, red leather upholstery. Of course, different colors are also available. Really cool 3D-looking carbon fiber trim on the doors and on the center console.

If we start it up, there we go. One of the coolest parts of the Grecale interior is this clock right here. So it looks like the clock that you would find in quite a few Maserati models. It's actually a digital clock.

And there's a menu on the bottom touchscreen that lets you change the display. So right now, it's a clock. You can do compass. You can also do pedals. So, right now my foot is on the brake, brake is all the way. If we accelerate--

Or you can do G-meter.

It's a very cool way to interpret a classic styling hue and bring it into the modern era. You can also change the layout of the instrument cluster using buttons on the steering wheel. This is the classic layout. You've got, what Maserati calls, evolved. And you've also got, what Maserati calls, relaxed.

We're going to take a look under the hood. This is the 3-liter Nettuno V6 from the MC20 that's been modified for use.

And this is an excellent engine. It's responsive. It sounds really good.
