2017 CR-V Overview

The Honda CR-V, a compact crossover SUV that has delivered a satisfying balance of style, versatility and comfort, enters its fifth generation in 2017.The five-passenger CR-V is available in both front-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations, each with a choice of four trim levels: LX, EX, EX-L and Touring. A 184-hp 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine powers the LX, while all other trims get a new 190-hp 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder; both engines are mated to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with Sport mode. Trim-dependent standard equipment includes: 18-inch aluminum wheels, power tailgate with hands-free access, power sunroof, fog lights, LED headlights, passive entry/start, heated front seats, leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, satellite radio, 4 USB ports, Bluetooth wireless connectivity/music streaming, smartphone integration and a 7-inch touchscreen display. A voice-activated navigation system, including HD radio and HD Digital Traffic, is standard on Touring trims and available on the EX-L. Safety features found on every CR-V include anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, Vehicle Stability Assist with traction control, rearview camera and six airbags. The Honda Sensing suite of safety and driver assistive technologies is featured on all but the LX trim, including a Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC); a Blind Spot Information System (BSI) with Cross Traffic Monitor is also offered.The Honda CR-V is completely redesigned and re-engineered for 2017, featuring bold new styling, an upgraded interior and enhanced technologies, along with the model's first-ever turbocharged engine.
