2011 Eclipse Spyder Owner Reviews (2)
BEST Car I EVER Owned

Have owned 3 of these. 2 coupes and 1 Spyder. These are amazing vehicles. Daily commuted 70 miles with a GS for 10 years without issue. I still own 2 GT's and one is a Spyder. I take really good care of my GT's because these cars are no longer made. Btw, Sorry, no Sebring could ever compare to this car. This is a sports car with exceptional handling, looks and a power top that looks and performs amazingly. A true head-turner. The 650 watt Rockford Fosgate is one of the best systems of any car. The blue interior lighting and gauges light up perfectly at night. Seats are sporty and comfortable. Dual exhaust has a nice burble and the 3.8 engine performs like an older small block V8. I will admit, it is difficult to see out of the Spyder. That's why it has a backup camera. It's also easy to see 360 degrees with the top down. I have owned many sports cars upward of 700hp and have a lot of experience with cars in general. If you can find one of these with low miles, you won't be disappointed. For the money, this is one of the best bang for the buck cars ever built.
Spyder Convertible dashboard and window visibility very poor

I switched from a Chrysler Sebring LE convertible to a Spyder convertible and would not do it again. Can't easily read the dashboard indicators unless the night lights are on at night. Can't easily see out the tiny windows and had to give up the temperature and direction gauges I had with my Sebring. The trunk space is way too small and the back seat is uncomfortable. I also do not like the metal floor pedals...it is too easy for your foot to slide off. The Syder is fun to drive and looks good, but not worth the discomfort and risks involved. I bought a 2011....Sebring convertible was not available and the Ford Mustang was overpriced and not available in the color I wanted. Ford was difficult to deal with. Mitsubishi was very helpful and patient.
