The highly anticipated 2008 Chevy Malibu Hybrid will make its' debut utilizing GMs "mild hybrid system" which uses a belt-alternator starter (BAS) to assist the gas engine. The 2008 Chevy Malibu Hybrid is built on the same platform as the Saturn Aura Green Line, which also has a hybrid option.
