The four-door Wrangler Unlimited, with a larger cargo area than the Wrangler, is one of the most versatile, off-road-capable Jeeps ever made. The base model Wrangler Unlimited comes standard with the popular FCA Pentastar V6 engine making 285 horsepower and 260 lb-feet of torque mated to either a manual 6-speed transmission or 8-speed automatic. A 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine was introduced for all trim levels in 2018 producing 268 horsepower and a whopping 295 ft lbs of torque. The 2.0L is only available in conjunction with the 8-speed automatic. A 3.0L diesel option becomes available in late 2020 for Sport, Sahara, and Rubicon trims. Jeep's Command Trac Four-wheel drive system is standard across the lineup. Push-button start and a backup camera are standard as are fog lamps, skid plates for the transfer case and fuel tank, cruise control, five USB outlets, side airbags, hill-start assist and more. The 2020 Jeep Cherokee comes in several different trims -- Latitude, Latitude Plus, Limited, High Altitude, Trailhawk, Overland and Trailhawk Elite. Two engines are available and both front-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive are available across all trim levels. The basic engine in the Cherokee is a 180-hp 2.4L 4-cylinder mated to a 9-speed automatic. With front-wheel drive, the Cherokee is capable of up to 31 mpg on the highway. The more powerful engine option is a 3.2L V6, which produces 271 horsepower and gives the Cherokee quite good acceleration for its class. This engine features stop/start technology to help boost fuel economy and it is also mated to the same 9-speed transmission used in the 4-cylinder version. The all-new 2.0L inline 4-cylinder turbocharged engine outshines it's V6 counterpart matching it's 270 horsepower mark but putting down a whopping 295-foot pounds of torque.
