2019 Volkswagen Passat 2.0T SE R-Line 4dr Sedan

Overview

The Passat is the largest passenger car in the Volkswagen line-up. It has all the refinements and technology expected of a sophisticated German vehicle, but is now built in the USA specifically for the North American driver. The Passat is offered as a front-wheel drive, four-door sedan. Power is supplied by a 174-hp, 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with manual mode and available shift paddles. Trim-dependent standard equipment includes: power sunroof, 19-inch aluminum wheels, LED headlights, passive entry/start, heated front seats and dual-zone automatic climate control, as well as a 6.3-inch touchscreen display, HD/satellite radio, Bluetooth wireless phone/music streaming, USB ports, smartphone integration and a voice-activated navigation system. Safety features found on every Passat are comprised of four-wheel anti-lock brakes with brake assist, electronic stability/traction control systems and a rearview camera, along with six air bags. Other standard driver-assist technologies include Front Assist emergency braking and blind spot monitoring with rear cross traffic alert; front/rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control and lane assist are also available. The Volkswagen Passat carries over with minor changes for 2019. The VR6 engine is no longer offered, and the lineup has been simplified to two trim levels: Wolfsburg Edition and SE R-Line.
