Overview

The Focus RS is Ford's most powerful production Focus - a high-performance all-wheel drive hatchback that represents an enthusiast driving experience, with an industry-first 'drift' mode. The Focus RS is outfitted with an innovative all-wheel drive system and a high-output 350-hp, 350 lb.-ft. torque 2.3-litre EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Features that distinguish the RS from its Focus brethren include 19-inch forged aluminum wheels with performance tires, Brembo brakes and selectable RS drive modes, along with an aggressive appearance highlighted by a deep front splitter, brake cooling ducts and a roof-mount wing spoiler. The interior boasts heated RECARO sport seats, leather/microfiber upholstery, metal pedals, flat-bottom steering wheel and a turbo boost gauge. Safety features include anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, stability/traction control systems and a rearview camera, as well as seven airbags. For 2018, the Ford Focus RS enters its final model year for the current generation. It heralds the end of its run with distinctive external styling details - black roof, mirrors, spoiler and wheels - as well as a mechanical upgrade in the form of a limited slip differential for the front drive wheels. Inside, it gets new carbon fiber trim elements, heated seats and steering wheel, and a voice-activated navigation system.
