Overview

The Toyota Prius v is a front-wheel drive, five-door liftback that delivers comfort, excellent fuel economy and low emissions, as well as additional cargo space for today's active families. The Prius v is available in four trim levels - Prius v Two, Prius v Three, Prius v Four and Prius v Five. All trim levels employ Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive, a hybrid powertrain technology that unites a 1.8-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder gasoline engine with a powerful electric drive motor to generate 134 combined horsepower. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) with three selectable drive modes is standard. The Prius v Two is equipped with 16-inch aluminum wheels, passive entry/start, automatic climate control, Bluetooth wireless phone connectivity/audio streaming and a 6.1-inch touchscreen display. Additional trim-dependent features include: 17-inch aluminum wheels, LED headlights, fog lights, heated front seats, eco-friendly SofTex upholstery, satellite/HD radio, smartphone integration and a voice-activated navigation system. Standard safety technologies include anti-lock brakes with brake assist, vehicle stability/traction control, an integrated backup camera and a Vehicle Proximity Notification System, as well as seven airbags. Hybrid-related components are backed by an 8 year/100,000 mile warranty. The Toyota Prius v carries over unchanged for 2017.
