Overview

The Jeep Grand Cherokee retains Jeep's legendary off-road prowess while providing many luxurious and technical amenities. The Grand Cherokee is available in two-wheel or four-wheel drive with multiple trims. The Trailhawk and SRT trims are only available as 4x4 while the Laredo, Limited, Overland and Summit are shared across both drive types. Several engines are available incluing a 240-hp 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6, a Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 capable of 293- or 295-hp, a 360-hp 5.7-liter HEMI V8 or a 475-hp 6.4-liter HEMI V8. All of the engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Trim specific standard equipment includes 17- 18- or 20-inch aluminum wheels, LED daytime running lights, front fog lights, a power sunroof, a power liftgate, heated mirrors with turn signal indicators, heated and cooled leather front seats and automatic dual-zone climate control. The Grand Cherokee also has a QuadraLift ride, a 4-corner auto-leveling suspension system, automatic height adjustment with driver controls, a stability control system with anti-roll and an independent suspension. Tech features such as SiriusXM satellite radio, Bluetooth, a 506W Applifier, an 8.4-inch touchscreen display, an ingrated navigation system, Uconnect emergency SOS, internet access and smart device integration are also standard. Safety features such as seven airbags, a ParkView rear camera, rear collision mitigation, rear parking sensors, a Sentry Key Immobilizer and security system come standard. Optional features that can be added include Blind Spot and Cross Path Detection as well as the Jeep Active Safety Group which includes Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop, Advanced Brake Assist, Full Speed FWD Collision Warn Plus, Lane Departure Warning Plus, Parallel & Perp Park Assist with Stop and rain sensitive windshield wipers. The Grand Cherokee carries over with minimal changes for 2017.
