2015 BMW X1 xDrive35i 4dr All-Wheel Drive Sports Activity Vehicle

Overview

The X1 is a recent addition to BMW's Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) lineup - a fresh interpretation of form meets function in the premium compact segment that blends unique styling, responsive driving dynamics and adaptable interior space. The X1 is available with two different engines: the X1 sDrive28i (rear-wheel drive) and xDrive28i (all-wheel drive) are powered by a 240-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode and auto start/stop function; the xDrive35i (all-wheel drive) gets a 300-hp 3.0-liter inline-six cylinder, mated to a six-speed automatic with manual shift mode. Model-dependent standard features on the X1 include a panoramic moonroof, 17- and 18-inch aluminum wheels, adaptive headlights, fog lights, leatherette upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, HD radio, Bluetooth wireless phone connectivity and a USB port. Safety-related equipment includes stability control with rollover sensor and integrated traction control, anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, six airbags and a tire pressure monitor; rear parking sensors and a rearview camera are also available. The BMW X1 carries over with minimal changes for 2015. Upgraded audio features for this model year include 12 GB of internal media storage and Bluetooth music streaming.
