Overview

The completely redesigned 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander delivers a host of enhancements which introduce a whole new level of safety, fuel efficiency, and technology for the compact crossover at an exceptional value. The Outlander is available in front-wheel or all-wheel drive configurations, in ES, SE, or GT trims. The standard engine with the ES and SE trims is a 166-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The GT trim is equipped with a 224-hp 3.0-liter V6 engine mated to a Sportronic six-speed automatic transmission. Safety features on all Outlanders include seven-airbags, vehicle stability control, anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution, LED tail lamps, traction control, and a tire-pressure monitor. For 2014, the Outlander is fresh inside and out and is now available with an electric power liftgate, adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation and lane departure warning.
