Overview

Perfectly elegant and aggressive all at once, the A5 is Audi's two-door, four-seat luxury sports coupe or cabriolet, offered in front- and all-wheel drive configurations. The A5 is available in three models: 2.0T quattro Coupe, 2.0T quattro Cabriolet and 2.0T FrontTrak Cabriolet. All models are powered by a 211-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with FSI direct fuel injection; transmission choices include a six-speed manual, an eight-speed automatic with Tiptronic and available paddle shifters, and a Multitronic CVT. Every A5 is equipped with a standard Premium package that includes a power sunroof (Coupe only), 18-inch aluminum wheels, leather upholstery, automatic climate control and satellite radio. A Premium Plus package adds Xenon plus headlights, LED tail lamps, heated front seats, three-zone automatic climate control, universal garage door opener, Bluetooth wireless connectivity and an Audi Music Interface. All variants can be further outfitted with a Prestige package that boasts adaptive headlights, MMI navigation plus, Bang & Olufsen premium sound, HD radio and Advanced Key passive entry/start. Standard safety features include six airbags, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, electronic stability and traction control systems, active anti-whiplash front head restraints and a tire pressure monitor; rear parking sensors, a blind spot monitor and adaptive cruise control with active braking guard are also available. The Audi A5 carries over with minimal changes for 2012. New standard equipment includes automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers; additionally, option packages and content are restructured.
