Autoblog Smart Buy Program
Overview
The Honda Element is a sport utility vehicle and designed to maximize space and people/cargo hauling options in a fairly small package, with driving characteristics similar to a small sedan. The Honda Element is available in three models. All come with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with a choice of five-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, but the LX and EX models are available with all-wheel drive. The new Element SC trim is the first Element with a fully painted exterior and cloth upholstery. Its suspension is lower and stiffer for improved handling, and it has big 18-inch wheels. For 2007, the Honda Element receives standard side curtain airbags and an electronic stability system. A new five-speed automatic transmission and trim level is also available called the Element SC.
