Honda's Insight is recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency as the world's most efficient Hybrid gasoline-powered automobile. Frugal, yet sporty at the same time, there's nothing else on the road quite like the Honda Insight. The Insight seats two passengers and was the first hybrid vehicle available in North America. It has very unique styling and features a gas mileage of 60 mpg city and 66 mpg highway. It is powered by both a 1.0-liter three cylinder combustion engine and an electric motor. Together they produce 73 horsepower with the five-speed manual transmission and 71 horsepower in the Continuously Variable Transmission. The power for the electric motor is stored in a 48lb 144-volt battery behind the seats. The Honda Insight is a carryover from 2005.
