Overview

The Dodge Charger is a throwback to the famous two door muscle car of the late 1960's; however, it is a four door full size sedan. It takes aggressive styling cues from the past and combines it with the standard features and functionality that car buyers are looking for in a car today. The Charger is made with four doors and five seats and wide variety of engines and options. The vehicle comes with Dodge's Electronic Stability Program and antilock breaks. Side curtain airbags are options. Under the hood, the new Charger can be powered by a 250-horsepower, 3.5-liter V6; a 340-hp, 5.7-liter V8; and a 350-hp, 5.7-liter V8. Each engine comes standard with a 5-speed automatic transmission with AutoStick, a clutchless, semiautomatic transmission. For 2006, the model is brand new from the ground up, so no previous changes could be made.
