Transcript

- This is the 2023 Kia Telluride, and it has been given a light refresh for the new model year. Most of the changes are up front. It's got a new grille with a more beveled corners. It's got the new Kia logo. It's got new headlights with new LED daytime running lights. And this particular model is a Telluride X-Pro. It's one of two new trim levels, the X-Line and the X-Pro, both of which feature slightly more rugged styling up front and at the back.

They both also come with standard all-wheel drive and a suspension lift of about 4/10 of an inch. The X-Line comes with 20-inch wheels. The X-Pro, on the other hand, comes with 18-inch alloy wheels and all-terrain tires, giving it just a little extra bit of off road capability. It also features a special traction control mode tuned for off road driving. The X-Pro Additionally features slightly increased towing capacity of 5,500 pounds, over the regular Telluride's 5,000.

The back of it is also redesigned slightly. It's got new tail light housings that have kind of a smoked design. There are some light interior changes, as well. Speaking of the interior, let's take a look inside. The Telluride features a new instrument panel. It's got dual 12.3-inch screens, one for the instruments and one for infotainment.

This also resulted in a change to the dashboard. It's got different air vents that have the very in vogue design of having the vents go all the way across the dashboard. The Telluride also gets highway driving assist, too, which in addition to allowing for somewhat automated driving on the highway, it will also do automatic lane changes when prompted to do so, something that used to be exclusive to Genesis but is trickling down to other Kia and Hyundai models.

The 2023 Telluride should go on sale later this year. And besides the exterior changes, it's mostly unchanged. Underneath, it uses the same 3.8-liter V6 with the same eight-speed automatic and either front wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Look for it in dealers later this year.
