Check out the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV WT, an electric work truck with 450 miles of range, 10,000 pounds of towing and lots of space for people and cargo. This is the first version of the Silverado EV to become available. It has a large frunk with a 120-volt outlet inside, with more outlets, including 240-volt, in its 5-foot-11-inch bed. This model, designed for fleet use, is pretty basic in its design and feature set, but it’s still capable of towing 10,000 pounds, with a payload rating of 1,440 pounds. It can be used as a mobile work station, power all your tools, then drive it all home with range to spare.
TranscriptJOHN SNYDER: Hello there. John Snyder with Autoblog here, and this is the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV WT. This is the fleet truck, the work truck, that is coming out first. And I'm been driving around. I just want to give you a little look around it.
Here's the frunk, which Chevy likes to call the E-Trunk. It's got power right there 120-volt socket. It's got these black wheels, running boards, integrated steps into the corners of the bumper, tonneau cover. Comes in the standard.
Some more plugs. There's four more 120 volts, as well as 240-volt right here. A nice little mobile workstation. There's the charge port to charge the car.
And take a look inside. Nice little digital driver's display, infotainment screen powered by Google Android. Pretty basic seats. It's a nice storage, map pocket here, deep storage there. A couple of USB-C ports, a 12-volt outlet, cupholders. Another deep cargo area there. Got these full-length door pockets.
Then in the rear, bench seat. Lots of room back here. They pushed the cab pretty far forward. Now there is a way to pop these seats up, I'm not sure what it is. But there is room underneath the seats for more storage if you need it. You can open that up.
And then here's one all closed up. Yeah, towing capacity of 10,000 pounds. I just took one towing, and it tows really well. But there it is, the new Chevy Silverado EV. Thanks for watching.
