Transcript

JEREMY KORZENIEWSKI: Hello, this is Jeremy Korzeniewski from Autoblog, and I'm here with Andy Lewis, the head of product marketing for Mulsanne. And we're here in the brand new Mulsanne, and what's so special about this one is it's the extended wheelbase model. Andy, can you tell us a little bit about what makes the extended wheelbase different from the standard car? In addition-- you know, obviously, it's 250 millimeters additional room, but what are the features inside this model that are different?

ANDY LEWIS: OK, so obviously, the 250 millimeters you refer to is all given to you as a real passenger. So you've got 250 millimeters extra legroom, which has allowed us to integrate this sleeper seat in the back--

JEREMY KORZENIEWSKI: Yes, I'm in a--

ANDY LEWIS: --so you can get into a comfortable--

JEREMY KORZENIEWSKI: --a nice recline here.

ANDY LEWIS: --sleeping position. Close the curtains, the electric curtains, and have a sleep on the move. We've also integrated this through console here. The key idea here is that all of your controls [INAUDIBLE] so you effectively have an airline travel experience, first class travel experience. You can sleep and just relax on the move.

So we have all the control functions here for our entertainment systems, for our seats, air conditioning systems, and so on. Between the seats here, we have the champagne cooler, which is a very unique feature for Bentley, which includes the three bespoke crystal flutes and will take two bottles of champagne. And then that's for entertaining obviously.

JEREMY KORZENIEWSKI: Mm-hmm.

ANDY LEWIS: And if you want to work on the move, we've also then integrated here some tables that clearly allow you to-- a multiple-- a multi-function table, hand-crafted table. You've got an occasional use for-- for just placing items if-- if you just want somewhere to put things for convenience, but then we also have several working positions. So you can deploy it fully onto your-- into your-- into your position in front of you here. And probably the most useful if you work on the move, a sort of tilted position. You can put, like, a large folio on your lap or something and-- and work--

JEREMY KORZENIEWSKI: Or possibly the detachable Android tablet.

ANDY LEWIS: Yes, yep. So on the back of the seats, we have these tablets. They electrically deploy from the back of the seat. Android tablet that fully integrates with the car systems. You can stream media from the cloud or from your personal device and then obviously play that media in the car systems using this.

JEREMY KORZENIEWSKI: These are bespoke tablets made in-house.

ANDY LEWIS: Bespoke for Bentley, yes, yeah.

JEREMY KORZENIEWSKI: Excellent.

ANDY LEWIS: Yeah.

JEREMY KORZENIEWSKI: All right, thank you so much. I really appreciate you taking the time to show us the Bentley Mulsanne.

ANDY LEWIS: It's a pleasure.
