Some may take issue with the concept of an SUV being lowered for customizing purposes, but we'll make an exception for an upcoming example of a souped-up Tesla Model X. Tuner and Tesla Motors customizer Unplugged Performance and Japanese tiremaker Toyo Tires are showing off their wares at the SEMA show in Las Vegas starting November 1. And they're using a bright orange Model X to do it.

Already boasting insanely quick acceleration, the P90D Ludicrous version will get some help on the aerodynamics, handling, and braking fronts as well. Unplugged Performance has retrofitted the SUV with an "aero package" that includes an adjustable carbon-fiber rear spoiler and a "sports" suspension kit. Unplugged Performance is also installing Brembo carbon-ceramic "six-piston" brakes on the vehicle. And wrapped around Unplugged Performance's "Ultra Light" forged wheels are super-sticky 285/35 tires from Toyo.

Toyo will also have Ken Block's 'Hoonicorn V2' Ford Mustang, a 2014 McLaren MP4-12C, and a redesigned 2008 Porsche 997 at its SEMA displays next month.

Based in Hawthorne, California near Tesla's Southern California facilities, Unplugged Performance has been making aftermarket products specifically for the electric-vehicle maker's cars since 2013. The company's range of products includes wheel packages, front and rear spoilers, and side-skirt sets. In June, Unplugged Performance started selling a new front fascia and spoiler that was designed to make older Tesla Model S sedans appear similar to the newer ones.
