Watch Paul Walker drive a 600-hp Nissan GT-R

Newly discovered footage shows the Fast and Furious star at his best.

Paul Walker was an actor, but he was also a well-known gearhead. And like his best-known role, Fast and Furious main character Brian O'Connor, Walker's enthusiast tendencies manifested as a love for the Nissan Skyline GT-R. Over the course of the six Fast and Furious films O'Connor featured in, he drove Skylines or R35 GT-Rs in all but one, a fact that was almost certainly inspired by Walker's love of the iconic sports car.

Now, GTChannel has uncovered allegedly lost video of the late star visiting legendary Japanese GT-R tuner, Mine's. Like the GT-R itself, that name will likely be familiar to US enthusiasts thanks to its prominent placement in the Gran Turismo racing series. In the video, Walker takes the wheel of a Mine's-modified R35 GT-R and reacts much as any car enthusiast would to a 600-horsepower, all-wheel-drive, road-going rocket – with wide eyes and a mile-wide smile.
