2016 Cadillac CT6 - Interior Tour | Autoblog 360° Video
TranscriptDAVID GLUCKMAN: Hey, it's David Gluckman from Autoblog, and this is a 2016 Cadillac CT6. We're going to give you a quick 360 degree tour of the interior, so come with me.

So one of the first things you'll notice about this car inside is that there is a lot of leather. This whole dashboard is leather. There's leather down here and the doors, pretty much everywhere. If there isn't leather, there's wood. There's even this kind of nice leather ring around the center screen, so you can kind of rest your hand here and not smudge up all your trim.
But big display, so you've got a really big display in front of the driver for all the gauges and lots of information there. And then there's this big touchscreen in the center that controls all the infotainment and things like the camera that you can record video on the outside of the car for whatever reason, and lots of neat stuff there. You can also control that through this touch pad on the center console. So you've got two different input methods, and then you can certainly control plenty of things here on the steering wheel as well.
This nice big shifter, which kind of looks nice and sort of stays out of your way there. But one really cool feature about this car up front is the rearview camera mirror. So this thing acts like a normal mirror. You can see it's reflecting like any other mirror, but when I flip this switch, it switches to a view of a camera that's in the back of the vehicle, mounted about roof height that looks back and gives you of a wraparound view of everything behind you.
So you can see there, it doesn't, this camera view doesn't move when I move the mirror around, so you can't really aim it. It's a little disorienting to get used to, because you're glancing up and to the right at an angled thing, so you can see it, but it's really looking straight back and not at an angle like a normal mirror. But you get used to that after a while, and it's kind of nice to be able to see, kind of, cars coming up next to you and not just whatever, what is directly behind you.
The reason they do this is because when you're looking in a regular mirror, you see people's heads behind you, and you see the seats and the headrests, and there's that really small area that you can see through the back of the car, so they added this camera. This is the first car that has it. It's going to be moving to other Cadillacs soon as well.
That's that's really about it from the front. There's lots of different things I could show you here in the queue, and there's these, kind of, touch sensitive buttons here you can press. You actually have to press these ones. They're not exactly capacitive touch, but I can turn on that cooled seat there. I can control a whole host of things, but some of the really cool stuff is in the back, so I'll take you back there now and give you a tour of that.

So the front seat's cool, but this back seat has more gadgets and gizmos than pretty much any other car you can get, save for like an S Class or a 7 Series, and it still has kind of more than some of those. So normal five seat interior in this one, but one of the cool things is, you press this little button here, you've got this huge center armrest that folds down.
There are controls on either side for these people to mess with massage seats and things like that, so if I flip this switch here, my screen pops up. There's a screen on either side. I can go through all these menus and change what kind of massage I've got. I can adjust the top of the seat here. I can use these big buttons here to kind of lie down, get nice and comfortable, so that's really cool.
I've got buttons over here for a rear sunshade. You can see there sun shades on the side. These are manual, so you have to, you have to touch them and put them up yourself, but they're nice, especially in a really hot day like today. I have a control that will open and close this shade in the center. We're going to leave that there.
Center console hides these wireless headphones, so I can listen to something and watch a video over here, maybe through the USB port, and somebody over here can watch something else. And the people in the front, or whoever is driving me around, can listen to talk radio or whatever it is they want to listen to. So that's neat. I'm getting the full Cadillac experience here.
Like I said, this car has a crazy sound system. There's 34 speakers in here. I'm not sure where they all hide, because I don't think there's 34 places to put a speaker, but they're probably doubling them up or something like that. There's, you know, there's one there, and there's probably some, like, back here, and there's one that pops out of the center up there, so tons of speakers, lots of really cool stuff.
Like I said, this, this massage seat is really what's distracting me right now. It's really comfortable. All these different things, I've got a heated seat, I've got a ventilated seat, and I've got controls here for my own personal climate zone, so there's four zones. Everybody but the person that would maybe have to sit in the middle gets their own zone, gets heated seats, ventilated seats, massage, even for the driver, so really cool car. Lots of neat stuff back here. That's about it for the interior of the 2016 Cadillac CT6.
