Autoblog's Jonathan Ramsay demonstrates Android Auto in the 2015 Hyundai Sonata.

Transcript

JONATHON RAMSEY: Hello, this is Jonathon Ramsey with Autoblog checking out the 2015 Hyundai Sonata with Android Auto. When you turn the car on, what you get is your standard Hyundai interface.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

Then you plug your phone in, and you get the choice to go to Android Auto down here. You press that, and what comes up first is your Google Now interface. No matter what car Android Auto is in, the interface will be the same-- Navigation, Phone, Home Screen, Audio, and Car Services. One of the things I really dig about it is that you can send and receive text messages just by voice. There's one now.

[DING]

- Here's the message. "It's legal to buy it. It's legal to own it. And if you're the proprietor of a bar, it's legal to sell it. And if the cops stop you, it's illegal for them to search you."

JONATHON RAMSEY: In order to send a message back to them, I just have to go, reply.

[DING]

- What's the message?

[DING]

JONATHON RAMSEY: That's it, man. I'm going. That's all there is to it.

[DING]

- Here's your text to Vincent Vega in number 39. "That's it, man. I am, number 39, am going. And number 39, that's all there is to it." Do you want to send it?

[DING]

JONATHON RAMSEY: Yes.

[DING]

- Sending message.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

JONATHON RAMSEY: Now Google Voice will read back your message to you if it has contractions with HTML language, so that's why you get the number 39 in between. But it shows up in the text OK. And there's the reply.

[DING]

- Here's the message. "You will dig it the most."

[MUSIC PLAYING]

JONATHON RAMSEY: And that's all it takes.

[DING]

Set a reminder to meet Vincent at Big Kahuna Burger at 4:00 PM.

[DING]

- Your reminder is ready. Meet Vincent at Big Kahuna Burger. Do you want to set it?

[DING]

JONATHON RAMSEY: Yes.

[DING]

- Saving reminder.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

JONATHON RAMSEY: That is text messaging and setting a reminder in Android Auto in the 2015 Hyundai Sonata. I'm Jonathon Ramsey with Autoblog, and now we got to go see some kids about a briefcase. Till the next time.
