Hot Wheels and Star Wars, together at last

If you are a Star Wars fan, the next few years are going to offer a treasure trove of stuff to enjoy. We are still over a year away from the release of Star Wars: Episode VII helmed by J.J. Abrams, and the marketing machine is already heating up hotter than Tatooine.

So, Sith fans, have you ever thought it would be cool to own a car in the distended shape of Darth Vader's helmet? Then the folks at Hot Wheels are ready to serve you.

The Vader car (pictured above) was unveiled in Star Wars Insider magazine, and Road and Track snagged an image. It will be part of Hot Wheels' new line of Star Wars toys that will debut at the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con from July 24-27 and will be for sale there. The company will also have a full-size, one-off custom car in the same style at the convention. If you won't be in San Diego, it will be for sale online in limited quantities after the show, as well.

If you find a toy car shaped like Darth Vader a little... well, dumb, Hot Wheels still might have something for you. It will also be making replicas of some of the vehicles in the films and regular cars decorated with Star Wars graphics. You don't have to be a master of the force to realize this franchise is going to be everywhere for the next few years.
