Video: Driver Claims Sneezing Fit Caused Accident

She smashed into the back of a stopped police car

A woman who smashed into the back of a stopped police cruiser said that the accident was caused by a sneezing fit, according to Massachusetts authorities.

A statement released by the State Police said that a police cruiser had stopped to help out another motorist with a flat tire. A driver then smashed into the stopped car while it sat along the highway.

The woman told police that she lost control of the car because she was sneezing. She was not injured in the crash, according to UPI, but a policeman who was inside the stopped car was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

This is not the first example of drivers claiming that fits of sneezing caused them to lose control of their vehicles. Just a few days ago, a Kansas City, MO mother was killed when she was involved in a head-on collision that the other driver claims happened because sneezes caused her to cross over the center line.
