Hong Kong's Tesla Roadster owners have organized an electric rally for the 26th of June. The owners aim for this event to showcase the Roadster's phenomenal on-road performance and to be the most fuel-efficient rally ever held in Hong Kong. The race will stretch across Hong Kong, with each of the 15 registered Roadsters expected to drive approximately 200 kilometers (124 miles) without recharging. Shouldn't be a problem.
Proceeds from the rally will be donated to those impacted by the quake and tsunami that devastated Japan earlier this year. Donations will be given through Civic Force, a non-profit organization established by Takao Ozawa, Japan's first Roadster owner.
Owners are asked to donate a minimum of $500 per participating Roadster and Tesla Motors HK is matching those donations. Companies and individuals can support the rally by pledging an amount for each kilometer driven. To donate, contact Jessie Zhang by clicking here.

HONG KONG – Hong Kong's growing number of Tesla Roadster owners have organized an all-electric endurance rally in Hong Kong on the 26th of June. The owners aim for this to be the most fuel-efficient rally ever in Hong Kong, and to demonstrate that the region's size makes it ideally suited to be a pioneer in the mass adoption of electric vehicles.
Proceeds from the rally will be donated to the victims of the Northeastern Japan earthquake through Civic Force, a Japanese non-profit organization established by Tesla's first Roadster owner in Tokyo.
The rally will cover the entire territory of Hong Kong, including Kowloon, the New Territories, and Hong Kong Island. Each of the 15 Roadsters expected to participate will drive approximately 200 kilometers without recharging. Owners are donating a minimum of $500 per participating Roadster and Tesla Motors HK will match these donations. Companies and individuals are invited to support this rally by pledging an amount for each electric kilometer driven.
