American F1 team starting up in Charlotte?

We've seen some websites a little sparse on content, but usf1.com has to be the emptiest yet. Click over to the site and all you'll see is a logo. That's it.

The website reportedly belongs to a secret initiative to start a new Formula One racing team based in the United States. Motorsport journalist Peter Windsor and Ken Anderson (a former IndyCar, NASCAR and Ligier F1 team strategist) are said to be behind the effort, with the full backing of F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone. The team is said to be ready for launch next year, with its home base in NASCAR-dominated Charlotte, North Carolina and an agreement to use the local Windshear wind tunnel. With no grand prix in North America, a couple of existing teams up for grabs and a U.S. team already campaigning in the arguably more suitable A1GP World Cup of Motorsport (pictured above), starting a new F1 team from scratch in NASCAR country seems to make about as much sense as porting F1 drivers over to NASCAR. But since that's already been done, we'll sit tight and wait for more news on this one.
