We just got word from Jay Lamm, the organizer of the 24 Hours of LeMons, that his team is considering running a fourth LeMons race this year at one of our favorite venues in California, Thunderhill Raceway.
Currently, the race and the dates are tentative depending on the feedback he gets from interested parties. But if it does go down, it will be a full 24-hour event, meaning that it will go from 2 PM on Saturday, December 29, through 2 PM on Sunday the 30th. Considering that Thunderhill is between Sacramento and Redding (i.e. the boondocks) they obviously don't have to worry about those pesky noise restrictions that have hampered the event in the Altamont.
If it does go down, it's tentatively titled the Misfit Toys 24 Hours of LeMons, and if we aren't participating, we'll do our best to cover it. Stay tuned.
