We had a little fun with the traction-control technology on the Prius recently; but seriously folks, check the list of ski resorts that think green. Wind energy is becoming a major factor in supplying power to the lifts. One area is looking to be the first to tap into geothermal energy. Despite possible problems with cold weather gelling, the communities are using biodiesel in their fleets. Other improvements include fluorescent light bulbs, improved recycling and education programs. Robert Redford's home even installed a kiln to recycle wine bottles into decorative art.
