Hyundai just released pricing on its "new" for 2007 Tiburon, and the news is good for people looking for a sporty car on a budget. There will be three trim levels this year compared to the four offered in '06. The base GS will start at $17,195, including a $600 freight charge. That's an increase of $500 over the previous GS. The next step up is the V-6 GT that is $600 more dear than last year at $19,895. The GT Limited has been dropped so the next bump takes you to the top of the line (and "track-tuned", tee hee) SE that retails for $22,595, an increase of $800.
As we told you when we saw the '07 Tiburon at the Paris Motor Show a couple of months ago, the changes seem fairly minor so you'll have to decide for yourself whether they are worth the extra bucks. Although often dismissed by enthusiast mags, the Tiburon and Mitsubishi's Eclipse are actually pretty competent performers if equipped right and deserve your consideration if you are looking for something sporty around twenty grand.
