Consumer Reports joins the auto blogosphere

TechnoRide's Bill Howard reports that magazine Consumer Reports (CR) has joined the car blog scene with its own official blog, "Notes from the test track". Mike Quincy is the main scribe to the site.

Howard spends some time discussing CR's current posts that touch on stuff like Mercedes-Benz's electrifying entrance at the New York International Auto show and the Toyota Sienna's run-flat tire issues. He likes how CR's  writing style has become more lively and references the "gearheads" that write for the well-known consumer guide. He did find, however, CR's rating reference at the end of each review a bit irksome.
