On Tuesday, Nissan announced its intention to rework its European marketing and sales divisions. The automaker intends to employ a new “regional distribution strategy” to help foster better relations with customers and dealers. The new setup will see the strategy take hold in Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, Austria, and the Netherlands.
The plan will likely see the doubling of regional outposts (from three to six), and in certain cases staffs may be split between Nissan and Renault, though the two expect to remain closely aligned with each other.
