Customers stay with GM through thick and thin

Despite the ballyhoo about the impending implosion of General Motors, the company still managed to keep the largest percentage of its customers coming back to buy another vehicle. The 10th Annual Automotive Loyalty study by R.L. Polk shows that for the sixth straight year the General came out on top in terms of Overall Manufacturer Loyalty with 63.1 percent of customers returning for more.
GM also scored with the Saturn Ion of all vehicles, which was rated as the small car with the most customer loyalty. Over 24 percent of Ion owners bought another one.

Toyota (big surprise there) captured the crown for Overall Make Loyalty, with 54.6 percent of its customers returning to by another one of its models.
