The Ford Focus Vignale concept that wowed the crowds at the 2004 Paris Motor Show was given go ahead for production shortly after its successful debut. The Vignale is quite simply stunning, and here we see some spy shots of a production mule enduring cold-weather testing before the car goes on sale in late 2006 as the Focus Coupe-Cabriolet.
While the Vignale concept was a real looker and even the illustration posted on WorldCarFans is eye candy, this production mule tagged with wide black camo stripes and tiny wheels is underwhelming. We’ll go with our gut feeling, however, that Ford of Europe won’t get lost in the translation of this car from concept to reality.
And no, it won’t be sold in the U.S. so don’t even ask.
