Volkswagen's Spanish arm, SEAT, is setting up shop in South Africa. As the self-proclaimed 'sporty and stylish' division of the German concern, SEAT will set up a complete sales channel and marketing presence within South Africa.
The automaker is set to bring its Ibiza small car, unusually stylish Altea quasi-MPV, and Leon hatch. Showrooms are set to open in the middle of this year, and VW is initially targeting 3,500 units for the first year of sales.
