Hyundai develops new steel

Hyundai Hysco Company, that is.
Hysco, which is part of the Hyundai group that includes the Hyundai Motor Group, has developed a process to “pre-seal” steel plates that will, according to the company, keep a car’s steel parts rust-free for twenty years. (Currently such parts last six years.) The company expects the plates will reduce such costs as waterproofing fenders.

Hysco, which works closely with its five "brother" companies, will be aiming its new process towards the luxury car market. According to Hyundai spokesman Kim Byeong-gyu: “We`re anticipating higher profitability by supplying high-value-added products for luxury cars starting next year. With our advanced technology, we want to take a larger market share.”
