In a few months, General Motors and the Sahara Hotel & Casino will open "The Drive" a hands-on driving "autotainment" experience next to the Las Vegas strip. The project includes a paved "performance course" and a dirt off-road track.
The half-mile performance course will give people a chance to check out GM's high-performance stable, including the Corvette, Pontiac GTO, Cadillac CTS-V and STS-V, Pontiac Solstice and Saab 9-3 convertible.
The off-road course will feature the HUMMER H2 and H3, Chevy Silverado diesel, and the 2007 Tahoe, Yukon Denali, Escalade and Suburban.
GM's adult playground should open in the spring.
