Volkswagen set for Malaysian invasion

/

VW is going Malaysian, solo-style. The automaker, which just pulled out from an alliance with local automaker Proton last week, is reportedly set to launch its own corporate presence there as soon as next month.

To be headed by Volkswagen's former chief of sales in Asia, Axel Barth, the German automaker incorporated Volkswagen Group Malaysia in mid-December.

The Fahrvergnugen is expected to arrive with the help of local 'super dealer' Quasar Carriage - a company that already distributes the company's Czech subsidiary, Skoda.
