Autoblog reader Tim caught this pic of the production CX-7 over at CarBodyDesign.com. Though it hadn’t kept us up at night, we actually hadn’t seen the production version of the CX-7 before this. The MX-Crossport “concept” on which the CX-7 is directly based always looked a wave of the designer’s pen away from production, but comparing this shot with that of the concept quickly reveals the most obvious difference between the two – door handles, i.e. the production model has them. Other than that the CX-7 is a remarkable ringer for its concept cousin.
The CX-7 will officially debut in Detroit in a few weeks where we’ll get to touch those door handles in person. Can’t wait!
