Hummer makes big donation to Red Cross

The Hummer website has details on a new six-year partnership between the company and the American Red Cross. The GM foundation will donate 72 Hummer vehicles and $600,000 in cash to the American Red Cross, according the site, by 2010. In addition to the support roles these vehicles will play during times of crisis, Hummer dealers will also build relationships with their local Red Cross chapters and assist with fund raisers, blood donations and the enlistment of new volunteers.
