GM's Mustang fighter concept for Detroit to source engine from Corvette

The folks over at Inside Line expect the GM's muscle car concept scheduled to debut at the North American International Auto Show in January to source its engine from the Corvette. The Mustang fighter, expected to be a 2+2 coupe, is being called a Camaro by many, but some say the Chevelle name is more likely for the concept. In order to compete with the Mustang, the vehicle should get the Corvette engine but lack many of the other perks found in the Corvette that make it more expensive.
Edmunds.com also confirms that the vehicle will be built on the Zeta-light RWD platform, quelching for now rumors that the next gen Camaro/Chevelle might use the Solstice's Kappa platform.
