Toyota and Subaru begin partnership

When GM decided it didn't want its 8.7 percent stake in Fuji Heavy Industries, Toyota picked it up. This new relationship is starting to take shape in the form of Toyota asking its partner to develop and produce a new model, much in the same way that Fuji makes (or soon, made) the Saab 9-2X for GM. Thanks to Subaru scrapping the poor-selling Baja it has a bit of capacity to use up.

While details on the new model remain a mystery, it's speculated it will be a subcompact. This is not the only partnership of this kind for Toyota. The automaker also works with partners on the Matrix/Vibe, the Aygo, Peugeot 107 and the Citroen C1.

Which Subaru would you like to see made into a Toyota, or is the answer to that question a bit too obvious?
