Russia has its first Formula 1 team

The Midland F1 team (formerly Jordan F1), has been formally named MF1 Racing, and will race as a Russian team under a licence from the Russian Automobile Federation. Team owner Alex Shnaider, a Russian-born Canadian, announced the decision on Thursday. MF1 Racing is the first team to compete under the Russian flag in the world's premier racing series.
